Wicked stoked to share with you the next band on the line-up this summer. I’ve had the pleasure of working with these guys in the past on both my radio show, and my compilation getting released on June, 21st! Within Dreams is one of those bands that goes back many many moons. Having formed when three of them were in 6th grade, Charles, Piggy, and Alex started out covering “Enter Sandman” for a talent show. As you can see, they’ve been playing music together ever since.
Since their humble beginnings as Middle school pre-teens, the band has released two EP’s , which includes their recently released EP “Subzero”. Moving beyond hitting the stage at a talent show, they’ve shared the stage with bands like Trophy Wives, A Loss For Words, Fortune Favors the Brave, Sayings, Ten Cents Short, and many other New England natives. They describe their music as,
“…a combination of the angst and energy found in thrash metal with the heaviness and groove of modern metal.” – Within Dreams
They went onto add,
“…people [want to] come out to our sets because we’re friends with most of them, but more importantly we offer a unique sound and all around good time, especially when we play our cover of South African rap group Die Antwoord’s ‘Babies on Fire'”-Within Dreams
That last part sounds like something you’ll want to see, so make sure you don’t miss your chance to see these guys live at any of their future shows!
